View Source

Parameters

algorithm  SymmetricAlgorithm
SymmetricAlgorithm to use for decryption.
data  Byte
Source buffer containing data to decrypt.
startIndex  Int32
Offset into data buffer.
length  Int32
Number of bytes in data buffer to decrypt starting from startIndex offset.
key  Byte
The secret key to use for the symmetric algorithm.
iv  Byte
The initialization vector to use for the symmetric algorithm.

Return Value

Byte
Decrypted version of data buffer.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type SymmetricAlgorithm. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
