Executes the SQL statement using IDbCommand, and returns the value in the first column
of the first row in the result set.

- sql String
- The SQL statement to be executed.
- parameters Object
- The parameter values to be used to fill in IDbDataParameter parameters identified by '@' prefix in sql expression.
Return Value
ObjectValue in the first column of the first row in the result set.
Usage Note
In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type
IDbCommand. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see
