type  Type
The Type being tested.

Return Value

Boolean
true if the specified type is a native structure that represents a numeric value.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Type. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
Remarks
For this method a boolean value is not considered numeric even though it can be thought of as a bit. This expression returns true if the type is one of the following:

SByte, Byte, Int16, UInt16, Int24, UInt24, Int32, UInt32, Int64, UInt64, Single, Double, Decimal
